KAAT's Summer Writing:
Parents must stay with their young authors / illustrators (age 3-12) for this drop-in program. Use your TD Summer Reading Club 2023 journal to develop your own story! (Not part of the Summer Reading Club - that's okay. Use something else to draw / write in.) Done your story or want some help? Drop by the library on Fridays throughout July & August (except Aug. 4) between 11:30am & 12:30pm to show us what you've got! Maybe you'll run into some other young authors or illustrators too!
What is KAAT?
KAAT = Kids Are Authors Too!
This is DV Library's writing group for those age 18 and under! (For the summer, it will just be kids 3-12). We have monthly meetings throughout the school year, and options to be part of the group even if you can't make all the meetings. Watch our website for more information!
Here are some of the things we do to encourage young authors & illustrators:
-language activities
-story development
-peer feedback & editing
-brainstorming
-visit with guest authors & illustrators
-"publish" books for the library
