Kids Summer Reading Club

Drayton Valley Library is proud to again be partnering with TD Summer Reading Club in 2022!  TD SRC is Canada's biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities.  Children must be registered to participate in weekly club meetings held at the library (or for the at-home option, if attending the program in-person is problematic).  Keep in mind, most of the program will be held outdoors - prepare accordingly.  Everyone is welcome to attend Magical Mondays at a variety of locations in and around Drayton Valley.  REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 15!

For more information about the TD Summer Reading Club check out their website.

To register please fill out this form and drop it off on or after June 15th.  If you choose to allow photos of your children you will also need to sign this photo release form (if you have not already done so for the library).

How it Works:

  • When you register your child(ren) for the Summer Reading Club you will be given a log sheet to record the minutes your kids spend reading.
  • When kids read 6 books they will be entered into a draw.
  • Prizes will be given out at the end of the summer for minutes reading and for the draw.

Who Can Register?

Children ages 3 to 12 can register for the TD Summer Reading Club and will be organized into groups by age category.

  • age 3 to 5
  • age 6 to 8
  • age 9 to 12

If your child has a mid summer birthday and falls into two categories it is up to the discretion of the parent to decide which group to enter your child. For more information about times, dates, and age categories, please see the registration form above.
